Frequently Asked Questions
how do i sign up for a class?
To register for a class, get pricing, or class schedules, please follow the links on our website here: Classes
Are Private Lessons Available?
Anne Arundel Archers does not provide or support private lessons. Archery classes for ages 8+ are available each Spring and Autumn through Anne Arundel County Rec & Park Department. Classes run for 5 Saturdays, and the club will provide all of the equipment you will need for classes. You just need to show up! Registration usually opens up about a month before the start dates, and classes do fill up very quickly, so don’t delay in signing up! Helpful tips about classes:
- Parents and guardians must stay at the range while the students are taking classes. Anne Arundel Archers is not responsible for students.
- Don’t buy equipment! We will provide what you will need to get started in archery. We would much prefer that you get some experience with what it is like to shoot before you make major investments in archery equipment which may be ill-fitted to your true needs and preferences.
- See the above section on “What should I bring?”
- Inclement Weather: If the weather is inclement, announcements of cancellations and rescheduling will be made on our Facebook page. Please join our Facebook group for those updates. In the event of a cancellation, the county will be contacting students with the contact information students have provided at registration.
Youth Programs
Anne Arundel Archers does not have a youth program in place, such as the JOAD (Junior Olympic Archer Development) program. For further information on participating clubs, please reference md-archery.org for info on the training options other clubs in the area might offer.
